ICP Networks are the financial force behind the launch of an app that Protects Against Cyberbullying, Sexting, Grooming and Access To Inappropriate Online Content.

MobileForceField is the world’s first app to offer preventative protection for children using mobile devices, designed to stop cyberbullying, sexting, online grooming and protect children from inappropriate online content.

The app, which was unveiled to the world’s press, is designed as the ultimate parental tool for the modern media age.

The patent pending app is packed with features designed to complement traditional parenting methods using modern technology to protect children from the dangers that lurk online.

More than 2.8 million children have access to mobile devices and yet their access remains unmonitored and unrestricted. Many parents are either unaware of the dangers that exist or ignore them because they don’t properly understand how to provide protection.

Cyberbullying

More children than ever before are falling victim to cyberbullying and sexting is a problem on the rise as youngsters experiment with mobile devices equipped with cameras whilst social media sites such as Snapchat continue to dominate global headlines as more young people fall foul to sending images they later regret.

ICP Networks MD Matt Archer, said: “We are particularly proud of MobileForceField and the role we have played in the project. We have been working with the software developers for around two years now trying to create the ultimate solution to a problem which gets more serious day-by-day.Mobi-the-MobileForceField-robot

“MobileForceField is the first app in the world to offer preventative protection, it provides parents with the tools that allow them to stop the majority of these problems before they become one.

“It protects children from cyberbullying, sexting, it blocks more than four million inappropriate websites and is without doubt provides parents and children with peace of mind whenever they use their smartphone or tablet.

“There are many apps out in the market place that tell parents what their children have been doing, but often this is too late. The child has already seen the image or read the bullying message or visited the website. We cannot undo what the child has already witnessed.

“MobileForceField protects the innocence of our children and instead leaves the decision over suitability to the parents of the child. We are all different, we all have different levels of acceptability and MobileForceField simply allows families to choose what is right from them.”

Families

ICP Networks MD Matt Archer has played a leading role in the project, bringing together a team to create a product that will change the way families use mobile devices forever.

The inspiration was born of frustration that whilst the large ISPs discuss ways of locking down wi-fi routes and creating parental controls for home routers there was nothing that address children using mobile devices that either connect directly to the internet via 3G or 4G or use free wi-fi hotspots in cafes, restaurants or hotels.

So Archer and two friends set about creating an app that could be installed on a child’s mobile device that would keep them protected wherever, whenever they accessed the internet.

“We were absolutely determined to create an age appropriate solution with settings that the parents can choose, that didn’t sacrifice privacy for young people, and allowed the parents and children to build trust and empower learning and understanding of the online world,” Archer explained.

“Parents want to protect their children in the online world in the same way we do in the physical world. None of us would want children to be in an unsafe place in the offline world, and the same applies to the online world – it is just far more accessible online with children who don’t understand the dangers, no proof of age required, anonymity, lack of accountability and at times persons with questionable intent.

“Parents are not interested in spying on their children but they do want to know when something goes wrong or when there is a potential problem and this app does exactly that. It allows parents and children to enjoy all of the amazing technology without fear of accidentally or intentionally straying into an area of concern – for them or their parents.

“We are very proud of MobileForceField, we have taken great care to ensure the product is right, that it provides just enough protection without being overbearing or overly zealous and the feedback from the police, parents, teachers and leading charity groups so far has been incredible.”

Invaluable

MP David Rutley has described MobileForceField as an ‘invaluable tool for families” whilst Doctor Simon Berrisford insists the app is as vital for parents as ‘Calpol’ in terms of providing protection and a cure to the dangers that exist.

MobileForceField is currently available for Android devices with an iOS launch planned to follow. It is a subscription service downloaded from the GooglePlayStore – click here for the link – on a monthly or annual basis available in every English speaking country in the world for immediate purchase.

As part of the launch plan MobileForceField commissioned Professor Geoff Beattie, a well known and respected psychologist to produce a report examining the issues faced by children in this modern age. His results suggests the problems are far worse than anyone ever images.

Award winning actress Suranne Jones teamed up with the MobileForceField team ahead of the launch to produce a stunning video which tackles the problem and explains exactly how MobileForceField makes a difference for parents and children.
