MP David Rutley last night added his support to ICP Networks bid for Green glory at the national Energy Awards.
The Macclesfield based MP is proud to support the IT and Networking specialists transformation of their global HQ into a stunning example of an eco-build.
Lexicon House has been dubbed the ‘Greenest IT HQ in Britain’ thanks to a £1 million rebuild of what was formerly an old warehouse into a state of the art office and warehousing facility.
The building boasts one of the largest solar powered installations in the North West and is now equipped with modern day light sensors, heating lamps, triple glazed glass, extra insulation and heat recovery system – producing more than three times the amount of energy required to run ICP Networks global business.
Awards
That transformation has already earned ICP Networks rave reviews and a number of awards and now the IT and Networking specialists have been shortlisted in the National Energy Awards 2014.
Mr Rutley, said: “I have actively followed ICP Networks well thought out business model of IT Life cycle management and the refurbishment of IT hardware.
“It is a great example of how businesses can be successful, while embracing sustainability, which ICP Networks do so well. Our community is very pleased to have a leader in Green IT based right here in Poynton.
“I would like to congratulate the ICP Networks team and wish them the best of luck on their Short listing in the “ Excellence in Demand Reduction “ category at The Energy Awards National Finals in December. “
Imagination
Lexicon House has captured the media’s imagination since the Grand Opening in 2012 earning features in the trade press and national newspapers The Guardian.
Energy giants E-On will use ICP Networks as part of their national campaign to show other business what can be achieved with thoughtful planning.
Now Lexicon House has been shortlisted in the ‘Excellence in Demand Reduction’ category at the Energy Awards 2014. The star-studded event will be staged at the Hilton Hotel in London in December.
The award recognises best practice in achieving energy consumption reductions through energy efficiency and energy savings. Extra credit will be given for before and after data, repeatability and innovation.
The Energy Awards aim to reward the achievements of companies cutting emissions and leading the way in innovative energy use.
Organisers claim the quality of entries this year has been better than ever and simply being short listed is a huge honour for ICP Networks. ICP Networks award recognition will be featured in the September issue of Water Energy and Environment magazine.
